Childhood cancer is something most families only hear about in statistics, but for the King family in Jefferson, GA, it became personal when their son Ezra was diagnosed with a brain tumor at just 18 months old. Since then, Ezra has endured nine brain surgeries, more than six years of continuous chemotherapy, multiple clinical trials, a stroke, and lasting challenges like vision loss and right-sided paralysis. Yet, despite all of this, he continues to be a joyful, kind, and thoughtful boy who fills every room with his smile.
Strong Like Ezra was born out of this journey. Ezra’s family has seen up close how overwhelming hospital stays, medical decisions, and financial strain can be when a child is fighting for their life. They have also seen how God has sustained them, one day at a time, through answered prayers, small miracles, and the unwavering love of their community. Now, they are committed to using their story to bring hope, practical support, and the love of Jesus Christ to other families walking through childhood cancer and severe illness.
